You have a blog which you post article quite frequently and it is getting a decent amount of visitors everyday. Now, you’re thinking if it is possible to generate some income out of it?
Yes, it is possible but the size of your income will depend on many factors including:
While this is the easiest to put in place, it may not be the most lucrative one there is. On some websites, this method may not be the highest income earner and could serve just as a complement to other better performing income sources.
Reward aside, Google Adsense is still one of the most popular program that allows a website owner or administrator to display advertising contents and earn money from it.
Apart from Adsense, there numerous others that offer similar program such as BidVertiser, Kontera, Text Link Ads etc.
This is better known as Affiliate Marketing. You basically doing advertizing quite similar to the one above but with an additional promotion on your part. This may come from recommendations made by you for certain products or services that you have tried and liked. It may also be in the form of product or service review.
Typically, the referred lead or customer is tracked using computer “cookies” that able to identify the exact affiliate related to the sales or other important transactions made by the customer.
Again, your choice of affiliate product providers are countless. Some are more suitable for what you’re doing with your site and some may not be too suitable.
Some affiliate programs or networks deal with physical products while some do downloadable ones. There are also those who do both.
Greatest advantage from doing affiliate marketing is that you’re not dealing directly with your customers in terms of order processing, payments, returns, complaints etc. These are normally done by the affiliate program manager or the product owner themselves. If done correctly, affiliates can earn sizeable income on ‘auto-pilot’ basis.
Here are some popular affiliate programs you can consider: ShareASale, Linkshare, Amazon, Chitika, Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction(CJ.com) and so on.
Particularly useful for info products, selling products which you acquired together with the resell rights can be rewarding. You buy ready-made products and then sell them on your site or other places.
One big minus point here is that the marketplace can easily be swarmed by marketers selling same products to the almost same group of customers. In this case, pricing can easily become the only differentiator between you and your competitor and it can get quite ugly easily.
Going for PLR products can keep you at different level from the competitors provided you put some work into customizing your offer. With PLR license, you’re free to modify a product so that it looks or functions differently from the one offered by your competition.
For this privilege, you’re usually charged with a higher price for the same item to the one that comes with just a Resell Right license.
These are my favorites PLR Club and PLR Product sites.
This route can be the most rewarding and/or satisfying if you have what it takes to create a product on your own. If you have the idea and know that there is a substantial demand for the product in mind, you can even hire someone to help you with the job.
You surely need to do enough homework to justify the investment or risk losing money doing it.
Unfortunately there’s no simple answer to that. You’ll have to explore and experiment to identify the one you’re happy with.
